Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a synthetic injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid. Poly-L lactic acid is both biocompatible (it does not harm the body) and biodegradable (it is able to be broken down by the body).

Injected below the surface of the skin, Sculptra® fills areas that have experienced lipoatrophy or loss of fat. When injected, the Sculptra™ material gradually thickens the skin, giving the patient a rejuvenated appearance. Several treatments may be necessary to produce the desired result.

Results can last up to 2 years. Touch-up treatments may extend the length of the result.
